Ei tämä ole tähtien sota.. vaan bisnestä ja poliittista häslinkiä.
Tallensin arkistoihini muutamia IMDB:n kummeksuvia ja vihaisia kommentteja;
Female heroine, black hero, hunted by the over acted villainous white male, all they did was try to politically correct the old version to fit in with Hollywood's agenda...
Clear liberal Hollywood feminist propaganda...
I love cinema. And i'm sick of having to lower my expectations of films to the lowest 12 year old denominator...
As for the movie itself, it is what should be expected from anything put out by Disney. Political correctness and girl power taking precedence over story and believability. It was irrelevant that the main character had no reason to be as competent as she was, except that she was a cute little girl, so nothing else mattered...
Did the writers have any new ideas, other then overt political correctness?..
typical Disney political correctness loaded in to the movie...
Hollywood needs to stop with the political correctness and go back to doing what Hollywood should be doing and making movies for movie goers and leave the politics to politicians...
Force Awakens is a movie trying to deliver a politically correct message dressed up in a remake of a cinema classic, then its aimed at movie goers...
The leads who take the rein from the old Star Wars Universe are: Hispanic, black, and a woman. There is nothing wrong with this in and of itself, but when it is done simply to be politically correct, then the story suffers. I think one critic describes this best when she said, "For the first time in Star Wars history, a franchise will be built around the adventures of the sort of people that Hollywood routinely overlooks: women and people of color. So even if The Force Awakens sucks, it's made one big diverse achievement for Hollywood." This means the only place you will see an honest review of this movie is in the user reviews here at IMDb...
lead character is of course an „empowered girl/woman" so that necessity pretty much breaks the movie because everything has to bend in order to accommodate for her independence and power creating some laughable situations. I guess political correctness is more important than making your plot having sense...
this film sucked a** bad, but for me personally it was the complete disregard of the rules of the force just to further a political agenda. Honest to god, I could not care less if there was a female Jedi, a black storm trooper and blah blah whatever else they needed to make this as inclusive and PC as possible. (To be honest I'm surprised Han wasn't made into a trans female). But they could at least have done us the courtesy of having it MAKE SENSE...
Acting is poor, corny dialogues, clumsy attempts of political messages, and there is not one single thing which deserves passing grade....
You only see Luke at the end for about 30 seconds, and he doesn't even speak. Han is killed off pathetically. And Leia is hardly in it...
this is my first review on IMDb because Star Wars for me in 2015 was the biggest hope... Now it is the biggest disappointment. No great music, no great light saber battles and at the end Luke Skywalker did not say even one word....
With J.J Abrams, Disney's budget, the original movies writers all involved in the project there was so much hope for this movie, but at the end of it you realise the only hope was a poor politically correct remake of the original A New Hope...
there was a scene between Kylo Ren and Han Solo. Obviously I don't want to spoil anything for those who might actually enjoy the film so I can't say much but I will tell you this. It was played out like the audience wouldn't know what was going to happen, but it was the most tragically predictable thing that could have happened. And even while I was praying that this event was not going to take place, this disgraceful display of "surprise", I had to slightly roll my eyes and heave a heavy sigh because I knew it was going to happen. But silently I thought Disney wouldn't be that horribly dreadful, surely they wouldn't do this. And of course I was wrong. I proceeded for the next five minutes to sit in shock and horror at the pathetic outcome of it all even though I wished to walk out of the theater and afterwards I was so stuck in that state that all I could do was sit until the film was over, hoping they'd play the "I fooled you." trick but they didn't. And it wasn't just a disappointment, it was insulting....
